The Corporation placed work place safety on its priority list and emphasized it in all its operations. The National Occupation Safety Association (NOSA) audit identified some deviations, most of which concerned demarcation and labeling of equipment. Disabling Injury Frequency Rate (DIFR) was found to be within the highest NOSA rating which is 5 Star.
However, due to the low compliance on demarcation and labeling of equipment, the Corporation attained an overall 3 out of the possible 5 platinum stars. By the end of the reporting period remedial action had been taken as part of the NOSA recommendations
